SHAC:
Every district is required by law to have the Board of Trustees establish a school health advisory council (SHAC). SHAC is a group that represents the local communicty ans school district to assist the district in ensuring that local community values are reflected in the district's health education curriculum and instruction. A majority of the members must be persons who are parents of students enrolled in the district and who are not employed by the district.
